Since the unification of Nepal in 1768 Nepalese haven't been truly free. Famous as the brave Gurkha around the world never had to bow to foreign power but Nepalese have always been looted by their own rulers. After the unification, the country was smeared in an with conspiracy and massacre. After painting one such massacre in 1846 AD the Ranas pushed back the king and established their own autocratic regime that ran for a century. The general public came down to the streets protesting the Rana rule and brought it to an end.
